Someone once told me that men doing emotional work amongst other men is vitally important because if women and children were to experience the rage, anger and sadness in the hearts of men, that they would be scared and threatened. For this reason, I believe men consciously or subconsciously choose to suppress their powerfully dark emotions, out of fear of how it would rear its ugly head if it were let out.
